Wee September Update

There will be no classes on Monday 25/09 due to the bank holiday and the venue being shut. We will be back on 02/10.

It’s Sunday Shimmy – September this week! Come join us on the dance floor at Committee room no.9 from 1-4pm, £5 entry. There will be a 30 mins recap class at 1pm, followed by lots of social dancing. If you’re keen to DJ, there are still a few slots available – please get in touch by commenting on this post.

Come and learn Balboa – great for dancing to faster tunes, and a fun dance in it’s own right! Beginners class at 7pm or if you’re more experienced, our Improvers class is at 8.10pm. One class + social £5, both classes +social £8. Find out more here!

Class Break – Bank Holiday Monday 29th May 2023

This is just to make you all aware that we are not holding a class on Monday 29th May due to venue closures as a result of the upcoming public holidays. We will be hold the AGM on the following week – Monday 5th June at our current venue of Maryhill Community Central Hall.

Sunday Shimmy – Sunday 23rd April 2023

April’s Sunday Shimmy is back to the regular time

When: 2-5pm, Sunday 23rd April
Where: Committee Room No 9, 18 John Street, G1 1JQ
How much: £5 on the door

Join us for a relaxed evening of dancing and be spoiled by our talented DJs who’ll play a mix of lindy hop, charleston, shag, balboa and maybe even some blues tunes.

There is a bar where you can order food and drink as well.

Class Break – Monday 10th April 2023

This is a quick announcement to remind our members that we will be not running a class this coming Easter Monday 10th April. We will resume our usual Monday offerings the week after, Monday 17th April at our current venue of Maryhill Community Central Hall.

We hope you enjoy yourselves over the Easter period and we look forward to seeing you on the 17th!

Sunday Shimmy – 26th March 2023

Tomorrow is our next monthly social dance and for March, Sunday Shimmy is part of our weekend of faster dancing – Supercharge Swing!

Note the change of time for tomorrow only:

When: 5-8pm, Sunday 26th March – Balboa Taster class 5-6pm

How much: £5 on the door (or included in the full weekend or social pass for Supercharge Swing)
